Before playing this game...

... I didn't knew who this Rebecca Black was.
...I was also HAPPY before.
At least now I can ease my pains with this game...
I love to see her little shape bumped and grinded, I'd wish you add some more degrees of suffering and humilliation on her (I mean, more animations).
And, it's true, when I played it, I couldn't get of my head out that you've resurrected the old long-missed spirit of "Assassin"... And boy, it feels good.

Hmm... "GRAT GAEM DUD!"

Oops, right now the current score is 7.9...
BLAM DIS PIEC O SHEET!!!!111111!!!!
...
Well, the sad reality is that there lots of "reviewers" here who don't need this tutorial at all...
Now, anyways, I was very amused by your flash. Your rant was funny (yet horrifiyingly true at the same time) and the use of sound is very clever. Great for stopping the music in the last page.
Now... We'll have to be patient.
Good work!

thinking-man responds:

Thanks Mr. Joe!

"It's even better than the book!"

I'm half tempted to read it, but I'll pass on that, It'd spoil the next chapter for me...
Anyway, I've enjoyed this a lot! Congratulations to all people involved in the making of this game!

BoMToons responds:

Oh snap!

Thanks for the review, hope you like the next chapter too!

Love for the Ginger Yokel.

I loved playing it. I got quite fond of this snazzy redneck with his pixelled looks and his funny voice. I also liked much the challenging gameplay, the controls respond smoothly, and the gems dropped by the small enemies help a lot to beginning players, as you can buy a 1st level upgrade each time you die. It's clever!
The boss looks tough, but it's not really cheap. when it gets real hard, you have enough experience and power to confront it while keeping the fun. Anyways, I have to check how hard can the game get, I'll give it a try when I have plenty of spare time...
I loved the challenge of beating it without upgrading.
And you convinced me to click on the ads.
AND EVERY ONE OF YOU SHOULD DO SO, TOO!

BoMToons responds:

Numba 1 on the scoreboardz! Boo yah, nice review!

Cool? Hell cool, indeed!

I've got this fetish for neon lights, so I just dig the visual design of this game like a hungering moth! And being an old fan of Data East's "Pocket Gal", I love the simple controls. Still, right now with only 12 levels, it feels more like a demo, but add some more and it's a winner then!
And you'd toss some stylised neon sexy babe mascot to the pool, I'd be totally sold... (Refer to "Pocket Gal" again.)

Great again!!!

Now it seems that you made a homage to Aleste/Power Strike/Zanac!!!
The game just plays and feels great, well chosen music loop and... You've put voices for the power-ups!!! That's the true arcade spirit!!!
I know I will play A LOT this game.
And don't you go thinking I've forgotten GunGurl. No sir!
(I'm still thinking of a possible GunGal HD...)

AcetheSuperVillain responds:

Thanks, man. I'll have to try hard to keep ahead of your high score this time!

No small feat!

You made like like Kratos for once!
It's all because I wanted since a long time ago somebody would make a game inspired by the old LCD pocket games that Nintendo, Casio, Tomy or Q&Q made...
And if you don't like the simplicity of the gameplay, you will surely laugh at the translation of the original game situations to this witty de-make!
Excellent!

I only found 5...

...But I found a Troll, too!
It seems that you can't go wrong with the creator of Submachina... There are no puzzles this time, but there's a lot atmosphere. Great use of photographs and excellent sound design.
Do the gnomes hideouts randomize on each game? I'd love it if they do...
Now, those li'l fellas are sneaky! I'll try again for sure!
Good job!

Really nice!

I liked very much SideArms back in the arcades, so, I'm a sucker for these games!
Holding the fire button to fix the shooting direction is a great idea, but I've always, ALWAYS have had trouble controlling these games with arrow keys and space in Flash. Certain combinations of 3 keys seems to clash, so it's not good when the screen is crammed with enemies...
... I really wished it was mouse-controlled. It'd really improved the game cartloads.
And I love to control a dressed-up heroine! Its design is a bit complex to be showed at such a small size yet... But I like it anyway.

I really hope to see a future GunGurl 2!
(Or a mouse control option update...)

AcetheSuperVillain responds:

It turns out I can fix the key fumbling by switching from Space to Z for firing. Let's see if you can beat my score now...

Haha, you got the job done, indeed!

You've played this game many times before... But you made it perfectly.
And I loved that toys...
