Hey, nice concept.

The graphics didn´t progressed much since the times of 2600, but the sound did really improved a lot, don´t you think so? ( ;D )
Anyway, it´s a little funny seeing stick figures mixed with anime-like portraits... Especially in the close-ups. The main character is a stick figure... pining for an anime girl... It´s like if the styles didn´t match very well...

And for the show you´ve been inspirated... No idea. It could be Hokuto no Ken, but there´s lots of similar opening sequences like that... Please tell me when the contest is over, I´m really curious.

Overall, a really nice movie. I liked it very much.

P.S: I recognized the dragon. I´ve been playing a Mega Drive/Genesis emu lately, you know... But anyway, I loved the style of the 80´s japanese videogames and I wouldn´t have forgotten that menu screen...

Emptygoddess responds:

That's because wonder boy in monster world (for the sega genesis not the master system (either one) is one of the grandest and most spectacular games ever crafted by man or beast.

You´re still green, but...

... You really took a lot of effort in this flash. Well done. You still have a lot to learn, though. Try to improve one thing at a time, like your drawing style, or a slightly complex story. Take it as an objective for your next movie.
You made a nice use of visual effects and blurs. Congratulations in that.
If this your first movie in the site, it´s a really nice debut. Go on and make something even better for the next time!
I´m sure you will make it.

White-Wizard responds:

You're right about that I'm "green"..:D I must say that this is the first animation with "real" characters. With stick figures I've plenty of experience... And because this was a school work I got little trouble with deadline. But thanks for great rewiev! =)

Cool Artwork!!!

That 3 month work has really paid off well. Good selection of music and enjoyable random action. I really love that wacky characters you draw. Hope to see more of you soon.

lenkalamari responds:

bizarrojoe you left a review on this? shit dude i love your art

You know, I used to blam this series...

But the other day, a picture of Hitler was being shown on TV, and I couldn´t help to imagine him evolving into a Pokémon...
So I´m following this now. Just for principles. I hope the last one has a thrilling seizure-inducing ending...

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

These have all passed.

¡¡¡EL PAYASHO!!! (¡el payasho...!)

Hmmm... this is suspiciouly similar to "La Hora Chanante"´s transition eyecatches... Also, the music is the same... hmmm... HMMMMM...

NOTE: "La Hora Chanante" is a spanish humour show broadcasted in the Paramount Comedy channel. Kinda spanish "Monty Python´s Flying Circus".

TheSoulMan responds:

MORE LIKE GAÑAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN

also RIP la hora chanante HELLO MUCHACHADA NUI WATCH IT KIDS

Well done, but already seen it...

Yeah, you really put a lot of effort in this movie, but I think it´s the third or fourth time I see a serious-looking zombie movie in Newgrounds and they´re awfully similar. I hope the next chapter shows some more original situations apart from the zombie-siege clichés... Apart from that it´s fine, congrats.
Just another thing... Why the spanish title? Because "subida muerta" means nothing in spanish, it´s completely absurd. Was it a Google translation?
P.D: The proper translations of "Dead Rising" in spanish all sound terrible, forced and ridiculous anyway. Defintely, not a good choice for a spanish title...

PhotoJournalist responds:

thanks for the comment, and i did use a google translation, bad idea on my part.

anyways any zombie flash/movie you'll see wont entirely be original because it's the same thing, but once the series progresses you will find out the story which i believe is original in it's own sense.

It´s pro-level.

Almost too pro for this! I think that you´ve used something more than flash for makin this movie... I prefer to watch real-time flash generated movies...
But anyway... that´s the only flaw (and it´s really subjective...) I can find in a beautiful movie, really top-notch professional level, and a movie that flash creators will look up to (at least in the technical aspect). You´ve really got the best out of the program(s) you´ve used.
Also, great character design, really lovable. Good music, but a little bit sugar-y for my taste (just a little.). You really must have graduated from CalArts with honors.
And finally, haven´t you found the work you´ve been looking for as media creator yet? They don´t know what they´ve been missing...

Onelani responds:

This was all done in Flash, then put together in After Effects, and then back in Flash so I could load it up. All of the content in the movie would've been too much for one .fla file so I had to split up the scenes and then put them together once finished. I graduated from the Art Institute of CA (Orange County) and I'm currently working right now, thank you.

Hey, you should do this more often.

I mean, make collections of your D4ilytoons, Razzes, Dance Partys, and Whatever craptoons sent by crews or similar groups. And delete all the excess junk. People would be happier that way.
This compilation? Not too bad. Maybe for the 4-for-one offer...

Sinitron responds:

yeah i really should just leave the star syndicate!!!!!!!!!

And he is here to stay.

The main idea was to make a powerpuff girls parody, but it turned out to be something very personal thanks to the tons of style that Mr. Schuur has put into this twisted and hell-crazy movie. Maybe not all jokes work, maybe the pace of the storytelling goes bananas sometimes, but still, it´s really worth to have a look. Highly recommendable.

W-P-S responds:

rofl it wasn't even supposed to be a powerpuffgirls parody

But now everyone mentions it it does look like it in some way.

Nice, but "Roaring Chickens"?

Well, it´s a nice animation anyway, but get someone to help you with english subtitles; sometimes they make little sense.

Kenzu responds:

I'm sorry about that.

You know it was quite hard for me to translate from Chinese into English. Some parts were extremely hard. I'm not fluent in Chinese yet.

About the "roaring rooster", well...
when learning a foreign language the teachers usually skips teaching the students what animals "do".
