But this is really good, nevertheless.

Hahah, the guy under me is referring to the bat wing! I remember it from the captions from your avatar... (...and maybe that's why I'm able to recognize it...)
The dress is really pretty. I'm also digging the colors of the display. So nice.
One day, TheJermz told me my style remembered him of Shane G. And I must admit he was one of my latest influences and I found in his style some pointers that helped me when I was trying to develop my vector style (who is STILL in development. ¬v¬).
Curiously enough, I was browsing Shane Glines' Gallery just yesterday. And I thought about how DAMN hard was escaping to just imitate his style... But I can't do that now...
So, don't worry too much. This one is really cute, so don't fret too much about it.
Just move on to the next.

PixelCake responds:

Oh the bat wing makes more sense then XD

Thank you so much! :D

(I love your vector style) <3<3

Well, DC is a property of Time-Warner...

Very nice drawing, using Peg Leg Pete has really got into me... ;)
I like your use of the colour... I wish I could use bitmap like that.
My 2 cents on the subject? Well, What will happen to Marvel is undoubtly...
...Nothing.
Maybe a little push on kid comics and the publishing of Disney Toon characters under the Marvel brand. And maybe a change of distribution (which CAN cause certain conmotion...)...
But, creatively speaking... No change at all.

Dale caña, compadre.

Totally agree. Hot as all Red-blazed Hell.

I love commercial art... I'm always looking for beautiful label drawings in seek of inspiration (or maybe just personal pleasure...).
Great choice limiting the palette to the same three plain-basic colors shown in the box art. Your art style is fresh and simple, with a bit of sexy charm much needed and appropiate to the topic. Still, some details would have rounded the illustration, like a better drawn hand, or a pair of shoes (but maybe you didn't wanted to put red over red... At least you'd have tried to draw some simple fingers, or just the toes.). I also think the display design could be improved, If going for a banner-type, I'd made the layout wider and try to show all the shadow; This pic would also work on a A4, putting the first line of text in the empty space at the left of the babe and the second one under the matchbox. Just my two cents, really.
Because I like this piece very much, anyway. And I'd love to get a box of those, too... (How could I get one from Auatralia?...)

coughing-dog responds:

thanks for the review! i gotta agree with the hand and the feet, feet in particualr i hate drawing, but hey practise makes perfect or whatever. thanks for the display tips too, definitly worth a try.

as for where to get one, ebay? mite have to pick one up on ur next holiday :P

Keep on Truckin' my blues away...

I wonder if Eichiiro Oda has read Robert Crumb...
...But this picture has really gotten into me, man.
Expecting your next works!

I have a confession to make...

Many of my illustrations of naked ladies had more clothes in the previous sketch.
And I haven´t drawn those clothes only for laziness.
BTW, Lovely freckles. <3

Hmmm, 20?

You look so cute in that corporate tee.
Ahh... I sorta miss the drudgery jobs...
...Or not really. But I need some cash now. Oh well.

Sabtastic responds:

You would be right with that count. ;)

And yeah.. Fast food blows - especially when you've got like 5/6 years on the rest of your co-workers. lol

It's putting me through college though - haha. Oh well.

You've come a long way, Kev...

The difference between the two images is that the one between a dedicated, but generic fanboy and Kevin Sano.
The left pic is still struggling with some frequent troubles like some issues regarding the limbs (arms, specifically her right one look flat and maybe the fact that we can't see anything from her right foot and Gir is in front the other one look like you were trying to hide them.) or using shortcuts to finish off the "boring parts" (It seems that you used some kind of textured fill to make the leaves and the grass...)
Plus, experience have made you learn a lot about colouring. Goodbye saturating green!
Some of the details I find objectionable in the right picture come from mimicking the left one (like the strage roots of the tree or the fact she seems to lean on... her hair, not on the tree! It'd looked better if some hair flowed in front of her right arm...)
Damn, what I'm trying to say is that you've improved CARTLOADS in these four years! I mean, look how beautiful are Bell's eyes in the right picture!

P.S: Is still PPG-D running? I lost contact after the long hiatus...

Best regards,
BizJoe.

kevinsano responds:

Thanks for the insightful comment

PPGD started again, but then it stopped again... We'll see what happens...

So, let me guess...

You typed 4 tag words and none of them worked, right?
Well, WELCOME TO THE CLUB, my friend.
(I thought I was the only one, phew.)

Your fanarts are great, by the way. Hope to see more.

The-Real-Joe-Cool responds:

Haha, yea I thought that was weird, hope it's fixed soon. >_< Thanks for the review!
