It got better towards the end...

That idea of matching text with rythm is really good, but It´d be better if some more elements and colors were shown progressively, just like the DF songs... You start with simple fonts and effects, plain black background and you should have your flick growing with more rythmic text, colors, effects... until ending up in a mindblowing audiovisual pandemonium... That would be the right approach.
But the dancing robot was awesome. And, well, it was for class, so it´s right... I know that if you try again, it´ll be harder, BETTER, FASTER, STRONGER.

Thanks i know there was sinilar animations just tryin to get the viewer to assosiate the actions with the words. I had to have it finished by the 5th of may thats y its kinda shortened at the end. But thanks for the comment i know more elements are needed im just glas people like it for my first one!

I feel the same way.

I´d also like to make a flash with the kite flight theme one day...
There´s some bits of that peaceful, dreamy feeling in this movie, so, although it´s far from perfection, I can tell that you´re on the right lane to succeed in a future revision...
By the way, I´ve just watched the flick again and turn the volume louder just to make sure that there was no sound at all...
... Because I could tell I could hear the wind blowing.

Well, it´s a nice gag...

But the filesize is too big for this. compress the sound or else you´ll be in trouble when making a longer flick... I´d suggest you to look at "M is bad!". It has an epic length...

Rooshich responds:

Yeah, I know the file size is big, but it's problary because I didn't know how to do motion tweens when I made this flash, so like all frames in the mario and kirby layers are keyframes.

This is what I call a proper parody.

The speech is really funny and really appropiate. It remembers me a bit of that "Family Guy" off-topic gags... It could really appear in an episode.
It sounds so real-life-like...
I think I´m gonna remember this each time I cross the finish line... I´m sure.

AerialNinja responds:

It was unintentional but while I was making it I realised it was quite Family Guy-esque as well. Thanks for the review. :)

Hope this develops into a series!

Love your way of drawing kids (but was it Kevin or Kalvin?), and you´ve managed to make me smile again with old, worn-out jokes. The credits menu is lovable and the storyboard extra is slick. Congrats to the voice actors.
I´d really love if these two kids would appear again in the Newgrounds. Keep flashin´us!!!

Astropuff responds:

Technically it is a series. Venture into the past, if you dare.

Awww, crap...

You see what you´ve done? You´ve moved me with a South Park-style video with an AOR song... Damn you forever, because that doesn´t sound like myself at all...
This is perfectly executed, up to the slightest detail (The Replay button is charming). Beware with the blurred clouds, it can lag like hell in some computers.
Finally, the change of the looks of the two main characters is a great idea that shows very well the passing of time, but...
Did you notice that YOU HAVEN´T CHANGED CLOTHES FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS?!

(Anyway, congratulations. I envy you for having such a good relationship. ;D)

Just like TV.

I usually tend to be harsher with this kind of flash... But, heck, It´s a real action robot series. And it´s here, on Newgrounds. With subtitles (that could use a little revision, by the way.). I´ll wait to see more chapters before pointing out at something, I´m too hyped right now to be fair.

But it would be nice if the submitter could tell us something about the creative process of a professional series like this one. This is the only thing I´d ask for now.

Yessir.

One of the best stickman movies I´ve seen in months. Colorful and refreshing style. Smooth framerate and charming concept. I loved it.
Congrats, man. You made it.

OctoFlash responds:

thanks a lot!

Still nice.

But I think I liked the first one better. The idea of the "other self" could have fitted in the first movie. It´s nice to upload movies often, but not at the cost of making small chapters revolving about the same ideas.
And you don´t need such a thing as an "audio compressor". Flash already can do that. Check in: Collections>Flash Tutorials>Ultimate Tutorial 2 . In the "extra" section you will find the answer to that. Use also the NG preloader in the first frame and a stopallsounds script in the final frame.
Keep your guard raised.

Interesting.

You´ve been really close to make a really disturbing short. It has been a good idea using impressionist pictures as backgrounds, that works really good. Some things don´t really work as well, some FBF animations are poorly executed (especially the blinking of the eyes) and break the eerie setting. I was also surprised about the filesize, maybe you could have compressed the sound without losing much quality.
I liked it. You´re on the right lane of making scary pieces of animation. Just make some tweaks, and study more that David Lynch, Jan Svankjamer and Salad Fingers flicks.

kringle88 responds:

yeah the MP3 i attached was a few mb i though Macromedia would automatically compress it. I was mainly influenced by David Firth his animations are twisted but sometimes he goese to far E.g The Milkman, Toast Boy. But at the same time Burnt face man is hilarious.
